Speckles was found abandoned, attempting to raise her 9 two week old puppies on her own with no shelter or food when an Angel of hope found her, kept her fed for a couple of days until the Rescue could be called in to take over. She was barely alive, famished, severely malnourished and under hydrated and oh so fatigued, but her puppies were almost piggly wiggly fat. She was SUCH a good and special Mama!! The entire crew was then rushed to the Vet and today after weeks and weeks of tender loving care, highly nutritional food sources, constant supervision and re-checks, Speckles is a brand new girl and her gorgeous puppies have all very recently gone home. She loves to play with her four legged friends of all sizes and to choose just the most special toys from the toy buckets (her favorite being a green football and a soft furry, cuddly long legged moo cow stuffed toy that she lays down with, holds between her two front paws and lavishes with kisses, affection and attention. She is THE sweetest girl and after all is not much more than a pup herself.
